Ever consider becoming a Freemason?
You must be a man
Masonry has been for the past 400 years (At least) a mens organization. This is not likely to change anytime soon.
You must be 18 years old
You must be of legal age. Becoming a Mason must be of your own free will and accord.
You must believe in a Supreme Being
Masonry is a fraternity of men under the fatherhood of God. A Mason must possess faith in a supreme being, but men of all religions are welcome. How a Mason forms a relationship with the Supreme Architect of the Universe is a personal issue left to him
Now for the most difficult requirement
You must ask!
There is a common saying in Masonary:
To be one, Ask one.
The process
Part of the process of becoming a Mason is that you must be known by at least two Masons for at least six months prior to initiation. The reason is not only to get an idea of what manner of man you are, but also for you to get to know us, and become more familar with the fraternity as whole; and whether being a Mason is right for you. This can be done through attending our fellowship night and other lodge activities. (These are generally announced on this web sites main page.)
